Casalborsetti

The place that takes its origins from its guardian Giovanni Borsetti, in addition to being a sentinel against smugglers, became a renowned cobbler, a character known and appreciated by both fishermen and the inhabitants of the area.

In the first post-war period the town grew and began to host homeless war veterans, laborers and people looking for work from all over Bassa Romagna. A small port, a refuge for boats, had already been built in past years.

After the Second World War, Casal Borsetti also experienced prosperity and the tourist economy took over.

The Casello, which was restored in the mid-1980s and reopened on August 10, 1990, can still be visited. Today it is a quiet tourist destination in Romagna, a few kilometers from Mirabilandia, one of the most famous Italian amusement parks, from a very important historical-artistic city like Ravenna and from the naturalistic oasis of the Po Delta, without forgetting the wonderful ceramics of Faenza.
