Bikes, passion on two wheels
Unsurprisingly, the ‘Pirate’ Marco Pantani was born on these roads; this is where the passion for cycling embraces everyone, from 3 to 99 years of age. Whether you’re an amateur, a professional or simply curious, this land offers ideal routes and views for cycling.
Obviously, there are also a number of great events:
1 - Nove colli, Cesenatico
The “queen” of long-distance cycle races: it starts in Cesenatico and runs for 200 km over the Apennines of Romagna where sweat, exertion and breath-taking views blend in a unique sporting spectacle. Since 1971, the Nove Colli race brings great cycling to the land of legendary Marco Pantani, a competition that’ll put any athlete to the test, offering indelible emotions.

2 - Giro d’Italia, Rimini – Cesenatico - Cervia
Italy’s leading cycling race really has no need for introductions and in 2020 it once again returns to Romagna.
To see the race champions in the region, enthusiasts will have to wait until the second week; stage eleven will begin in Porto Sant’Elpidio and finish in Rimini, whilst stage twelve will, to all intents and purposes, be a tribute to the Nove Colli and Pantani and starts and ends in Cesenatico. Finally, stage thirteen will begin in Cervia, and end in Monselice. Never-ending thrills and emotions!
